The town of Oceanside, O’side (as the locals affectionately call it), is located north of San Diego on the Pacific coast. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It boasts pleasant weather in all seasons, beautiful beaches, a historic wooden pier, a New England-style fun harbor, historically significant buildings (Bunker House, Fin Hotel, Schuyler Building, Graves House\/Top Gun House, Robert’s Cabins)\u2026 Oceanside is also a famous movie location, where, among other things, they filmed many movie scenes of the well-known hit movie Top Gun with Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis in the main roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oceanside is home to many cycling endurance events held throughout the year, including the IRONMAN Triathlon, Race Across America (RAAM), Race to the West (RAW) and Bike the Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Since 2006, Oceanside has hosted the official start of the annual bicycle race, the Race across America and the Race across the West, every second Tuesday in June.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
