WORLD RECORD
in continuous bowling with Uroš Stoklas
and the Slovenian Bowling Federation.
From 9 to 12 April 2025, Slovenia will host a unique sporting challenge:
Dear bowling fans, Greetings.
I am delighted that you are on the website of such a world-record-setting venture. The Bowling Federation of Slovenia is a national trade association of more than 70 clubs, which are united in the aim of the existence and development of the sport of bowling.
Bowling has been present in Slovenia for a long time, with the first records of bowling dating back to the 15th century, while the first bowling club was founded in Ljubljana in 1880 under the name Enotnost. In 1950, the clubs joined together to form the Slovenian Bowling Federation, as we know it today.
As I like to point out many times, we belong to a sport that can follow us from early youth to late old age. There are few such sports, which makes us bowlers a special breed of athletes, as there are a whole host of individuals among us who, even at a ripe old age, are still achieving top results. The latest feat of Uroš Stoklas, one of the best bowlers in our history, is the best proof of this.
We are delighted to be able to help Uroš on this journey and wish him every success in his latest venture.
Zoran Mojškerc
President of the Slovenian Bowling Federation
Uroš Stoklas, in cooperation with the Slovenian Bowling Federation, will visit 37 Slovenian bowling alleys, where he will play 37 consecutive bowling matches over three days and three nights, thus setting a new milestone in the sport. Each bowling alley will host one match with 120 lanes, with Uroš Stoklas playing against invited athletes from the local area. Each match will last approximately 60 minutes.
Side events will be organised at selected bowling greens where visitors can learn about bowling, watch presentations by local clubs and meet other athletes, supporters and sponsors of the event.
In four days, Uroš Stoklas will:
4.440 lučajev
(37 bowling greens × 120 lanterns)
12,5 t
balls thrown
80 km
elapsed on the bowling alley
1.080 km
the distance travelled between bowling alleys after
Slovenia
The event will be supported by many renowned athletes from Slovenia and abroad, including Nikola Dragaš, Boris Urbanc and Boris Benedik, among others.
World Record with Uroš Stoklas will be attended by many world-famous bowlers:
Boris Benedik, six-time gold medallist at the World Bowling Championships and one of the most successful Slovenian bowlers of all time.
Boris Urbanc, multiple world, European, Yugoslav and Slovenian record holder and in 1990 the owner of the then world record with 1010 knocked down pins.
Nikola Dragaš, multiple individual world, European, Yugoslav and Croatian champion in bowling. One of the best bowlers of all time in the former country.

This year’s sporting event will be a follow-up to the successful Guinness World Record in continuous 24-hour bowling, which was set in Radlje ob Dravi in 2022. This remarkable event, which attracted worldwide attention, raised the profile of bowling as a sport suitable for all generations – including the youngest. As a result, a large number of young people joined the Radlje Bowling Club and started to train seriously.
One of the key objectives of this promotional campaign is therefore to reignite interest in bowling and attract new generations of bowlers, especially those who are not yet familiar with the sport or have not seen the opportunity before, with a spectacular record.
